Mrs. Baker’s #GreenonKnights 7th grade science students brought ecosystems to life in the 7-12 courtyard! Using strands to build food webs, they traced energy flow from the Sun to producers and on to consumers—while exploring how organisms can play different roles depending on their environment.

Some of our #GreenonKnights students and staff kicked off their day with a fun and healthy way of walking to school with Mr. Jewell!

Our @Greenon FFA members have been hard at work! Just in the past week, they have:

☑Represented Greenon at the Ohio Legislative Leadership Conference

Huge shoutout to @teamholowicki from our local @mcdonalds for donating school supply kits for our #GreenonKnights students — and for bringing along Grimace for a surprise visit!

To help every student understand school bus safety, our #GreenonKnights Transportation Team hosts “Bus Safety Talks” for K–3 students. They meet our bus drivers, explore a school bus, and learn important safety tips and expectations. This ensures even students who don’t ride daily know what to expect on field trips or special events. Huge shoutout to our transportation team for making sure all students feel safe and confident when riding the bus 🚌

Shout out to our Greenon Marching Knights on a fantastic first competition at BOA Northwest Regional Championship in Toledo! 2nd place in Class A 1st place for Visual Performance in Class A Way to go #GreenonKnights!

Last night our senior athletes took the field with the teachers, coaches, and staff members who have made a lasting impact on their lives. Before kickoff, our staff gathered with their families for a fun pregame tailgate for our Staff Appreciation game! Thank you to our staff for the difference you make in the lives of our #GreenonKnights—on and off the field!

Homecoming Week is approaching! Don’t miss the annual community bonfire and parade or the big game #GreenonKnights!

It’s the annual ‘Apple Up on Top challenge🍎 Mrs. Ricketts students were challenged to design a device that could hold an “apple” — After building their creations, they held a relay race to see which design could go the distance! STEM in action for our #GreenonKnights

Reminder! Greenon Local Schools will have a scheduled 2-hour early release on Friday, September 12, 2025.

Our #GreenonKnights won the Goodwill Drive to Victory! The Knights collected over 70,000 pounds of donations and 32,875 more pounds than Northeastern!!

Our #GreenonKnights very own Kai Ricks was named the Dayton Daily Athlete of the week! 🏈 Let’s give him a Knights congratulations!

Attention Greenon 8th Grade Families:

The 2026 8th Grade Washington D.C. Trip is tentatively scheduled for May 5–8, 2026.

An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 9th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Greenon High School cafeteria.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, Mr. McCaw, 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher, will have information available for students to bring home beginning September 10th.

We’re so excited to have all of our #GreenonKnights students in the buildings with us — including our newest Knights, our kindergarteners! We love seeing our older students step up as leaders, helping our kinders get acquainted with the building, guiding them through the breakfast line, and teaching them how to open their milks!

Coach Jeff Nickles achieved a big milestone - the 200th win as the coach for the #GreenonKnights mens soccer team! Congratulations, Coach Nickles, on this HUGE achievement 👏 ⚽️
