What are you thankful for this season? Our 2nd graders are thankful for things like kindness and joy, new foods to try, and family and friends 🧡🤎

Mr. Knapke spent time reading a Thanksgiving book to our Kindergarten and 1st grade #GreenonKnights students before our Fall Break 🦃🍂

Students from Mrs. Fenwick's class got to break out of an Edgar Allan Poe escape room!
During the escape room activity, students had to 'break' the locks by finding clues hidden in the room. The clues led them to QR codes that took them to Poe-related websites or links to stories that they read in class.
📚 The Cask of Amontillado
📚 The Raven
📚 The Fall of the House of Usher
📚 The Tell-Tale Heart
Once students unlocked all five codes, they could officially escape from the House of Usher!

Due to muddy conditions, students can play on the blacktop and playground equipment only today. Thank you

Happy National School Psychology Week! A huge thank you to our school psychologist, Mrs. Carrie Henry! Your dedication, compassion, and expertise help our #GreenonKnights students and staff thrive every day!

❗️Reminder! Greenon Local Schools has a scheduled 2-Hour Early Release scheduled for tomorrow, November 15, 2024. ❗️

To our Veterans: We can never truly thank you enough for your service and sacrifice ❤️🤍💙
Today, and last Thursday, we were honored to host our community veterans at our breakfast and assemblies; we hope you felt celebrated and appreciated.
Your bravery and commitment inspire us all. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for our country.

As part of their Motion and Forces unit, Mrs. Kestner's Advanced Physical Science classes designed ways to protect their 🎃pumpkin🎃 from breaking when dropped from the 2nd floor!
The #GreenonKnights students used a variety of items to counteract the force of impact, including parachutes, pillows, and lots and lots of tape!

A group of Ms. Harper's Developing Character & Leadership #GreenonKnights students recently created a lesson on forgiveness and shared it with Mrs. Marshall’s first graders.
Through the lesson and activities, they helped our younger students reflect on how forgiveness makes them feel and its importance in the future🫶 We love seeing our older students step up as positive role models to our younger students.

Last week, our students showed their commitment to living drug-free during Red Ribbon Week!
🏈 Tuesday: #GreenonKnights ‘teamed up against drugs’ in their favorite team gear.
🔴 Wednesday: RED for Red Ribbon Week.
👻 Thursday: Say 'boo’ to drugs with costumes
⚫️ Friday: black out drugs!
Proud of our Knights for making positive choices!

Congratulations Ruby!

Students from Mrs. Turner and Mr. Lewis’s classes had the opportunity to visit the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus!
Our #GreenonKnights explored the stunning architecture and learned more about the legislative process. It was a great day for our future leaders!

Shoutout to our Elementary K-6 Knights of the Quarter!
Teachers and staff nominated these #GreenonKnights students for going above and beyond and demonstrating our core values of being respectful, responsible, and safe. We are so proud of their leadership at Greenon Elementary!
