Greenon Local School District is pleased to welcome Evan Ivory as our new Athletic Director. With more than a decade of experience in educational athletics roles, Evan brings a strong background in leadership, student development, and building positive athletic cultures. Most recently, he served as Athletic Director at West Carrollton City Schools, where he oversaw approximately 70 coaches and more than 800 student-athletes while leading initiatives focused on academic success, community engagement, and program growth.
Evan earned a bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Ohio University and a master's degree in Education with a concentration in Sport Administration from Xavier University. Throughout his career, he has emphasized creating meaningful opportunities for students both on and off the field, mentoring future athletic leaders, strengthening community partnerships, and supporting coaches in providing student-athletes with experiences.
For Evan, the decision to join Greenon came down to one thing: the community. "The sense of community is what drew me to Greenon," he said. "Successful athletic departments are built on culture first. Winning is important, but creating opportunities for student-athletes to grow as leaders, represent their school with pride, and feel connected to something bigger than themselves is what creates lasting success. From everything I've learned about Greenon, those values already exist here, and I'm excited to build relationships with our students, coaches, families, and community as we continue to strengthen our programs together."

"Throughout the interview process, it was clear that he is a relationship-driven leader who shares our commitment to putting students first. His passion for developing young people, supporting coaches, and building a strong culture aligns perfectly with the values of our district.
