Summer School 2024

Summer is just around the corner! If your child has failed or could fail a core academic course, we highly encourage them to register for summer school. Getting behind in the credits needed for graduation can cause problems for students in the future. This year there are three options for students:

Option 1 - Greenon's Online Academy - These credit recovery courses are offered online through Aurora or Wescott Math. Students will work from home but can contact the program coordinator with questions. The cost is $100 for unlimited classes. Summer school runs from June 10 to August 1. Please see a counselor for an application.

Option 2 - Clark County ESC - This credit recovery program will be offered in person. Courses will be offered using an online platform. Small group and individual tutoring will be provided. There is no cost. Classes would be from June 4 to July 2, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 - 11:30 am. Students would need to provide their own transportation to the ESC Building at 4170 Allium Court, Springfield, OH 45505. Option 3 - TRECA - This program offers new credits online. Most students use this option if they wish to take Health, Physical Education, or Financial Literacy over the summer. The cost is $95 per half credit. The registration deadline is June 4 and courses start June 10. Register online: https://treca.org/summer

Printed summer school applications can be found in the main office. If you have any questions, or if you are unsure if your child needs summer school, please contact your child's counselor.
