Greenon FFA
The Greenon FFA Chapter is an intra-curricular student organization and one of three Greenon Agricultural Education Program parts.
Students must be in grades 9-12 and be enrolled in an agriculture education course to be a member of the Greenon FFA. The FFA is a dynamic youth organization that makes a positive difference in member's lives by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.
The chapter officers and all members lead the Greenon FFA and serve on chapter committees. These committees plan and implement activities and events for students, the chapter, and the community throughout the year. Some events include a Spring Chapter FFA Banquet, Farm Day, 8th Grade Real Money Real World, 1st Grade Snowmen, Fruit and Strawberry Sale Fundraisers, and other leadership events and activities. Additionally, FFA Members participate in local and state contests called Career Development Events, attend Local, State, and National Leadership events, and build connections with other FFA members nationwide.
FFA members plan and implement an annual experiential learning project called the Supervised Agricultural Experience. Students exhibit these SAE's at the annual Clark County Fair.
The Greenon FFA Chapter was chartered in 1956 and serves around 100 FFA members yearly. We are proud of our tradition of excellence and look forward to student and chapter accomplishments in the coming year!
