Greenon Jr./Sr High is the educational home to approximately 700 students, grades 7th-12th.

My name is Josh Newport, and it is an honor to serve as the 7-12 principal at Greenon Jr/Sr High School! This marks my third year at Greenon, and I truly believe Greenon is a great place to live, learn, and grow. My goal as principal is to provide our students with a safe, structured learning environment free of distractions. It is also essential to me to be accessible and approachable as the building principal to both students and parents. 

Prior to working at Greenon, I spent fifteen years at Xenia Community Schools. During my tenure at Xenia, I spent five years teaching, one year as a Teacher Improvement Specialist, three years as a Preschool Principal, and six years as an Assistant Principal/Athletic Director.

When I am not at Greenon, I am with my family. My wife, Amanda, and I were married in 2010, and we have three children: Brynlee (10), Evelyn (7), and Jameson (5). We enjoy spending time together and supporting our kids’ various interests. We reside in Xenia.
