The Greenhand Conference is an activity held at the Versailles High School and teaches first year FFA students, or Greenhands, more about FFA and what we do as an organization. When we got there, we were given numbers and asked to pick a specific group of CDEs that we would like to talk about. We were then directed into a gymnasium and listened to two speakers that talked about life as a whole. After that, groups were then made based on the numbers that you had gotten; we then had a bunch of different classrooms that we went to, twenty minutes each, where we talked about different aspects/topics in FFA. After being provided with lunch, we were split into our CDE groups for the remainder of the time.
The Greenhand Conference was an incredibly organized event and was really educational and inviting. It is something that should be greatly recommended to Greenhands, as it is an amazing experience and helps explain a few things that can be confusing when we first hear about it.
