The Greenon FFA held their annual banquet on May 18th at 6 p.m. This year it looked a little different due to Covid-19 and was presented virtually. Even though it was held virtual, a large amount of members and guests still attended/watched the presentation over a Google Meet. The link was also sent to Greenon Staff members and FFA Members and their families to watch at their leisure.
During the virtual banquet the eight officers ran the banquet and presented awards. Twenty-five members met requirements to receive their greenhand degree. Thirteen members achieved their chapter degree by meeting the requirements given out by the National FFA Organization. Two members received their state degree by completing all given requirements. Three past FFA members achieved their American degree.
The FFA advisor, Sara Casto, presented awards to recognize the stars of each class. The outstanding freshmen are Tru Buddenburg, Claire Henry, and Macy Young. The sophomores were Emma Bennett, Morgan Paulus, Macy Timmons, and Kaylynn Wilhelm. The juniors are Trent Green, Brandi Mamer, Mason Potter, and Makenna Taylor. The seniors were Alex Cunningham and Arianna Hollar. Lydia Henry was elected as the FFA Queen.
